Urban agriculture is gaining momentum as a sustainable solution to the challenges posed by rapid urbanization, food insecurity, and climate change. This 65 acre site located near the heart of the Bay Area aims to create a paradigm shift towards a more integrated approach to urban development, where urban agriculture serves as a catalyst for creating greener, healthier, and more livable cities. Community garden plots, algae and aquaponic farms, tidal marsh restoration, and a waterfront promenade create a hub for both community engagement and experimental agriculture.
