Wild Wonders: Ecological stewardship & education for mustang conservation
Location: Nevada

Over 80,000 wild mustang horses roam the western United States. Over half the population resides within Nevada's borders where the horses face challenges such as urban sprawl, round ups, and starvation. The Bureau of Land Management avoids solving the root of the problem and only works to round up the populations to be sold and moved to private ranches. "Wild Wonders" aims to utilize land management practices to steward these horses on safe and healthy routes while revitalizing the natural habitat the horses have degraded. Investing in the longevity of this symbol of freedom will educate residents on the history of the land while restoring native flora and fauna.
