Reconnecting Roots

Reconnecting Roots aims to implement an Urban Forest within the Little Tokyo Historic District to bring together the local Japanese American community, through an immersive cultural and natural experience. The project becomes a center for gathering, and also an opportunity to share Japanese culture and nature in the cold, isolated Downtown Los Angeles. The site strives to provide a relaxing and reflective experience through the Urban Forest that will be implemented throughout the park.
